School System Financial Information (HB 139)
All of information on this site consists of data and other information which the Department already collects and in most cases published in some existing form, or which is collected and published by another department within state government such as the Department of Audits and Accounts. HB 139 required the centralization of this information into a single web site, which is the purpose of this new reporting system.
The Calhoun County Board of Education intends to opt out of the statewide adjusted base year ad valorem homestead exemption for Calhoun County School System. All concerned citizens are invited to the public hearing on this matter to be held at the Calhoun County Board of Education, 18772 Hartford Street, Edison, GA 39846 on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at 4pm.
Times and places of additional public hearings on the intent to opt of the Homestead Exemption (HB581) are at the Calhoun County Board of Education, 18772 Hartford Street, Edison, GA 39846 on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at 6pm and Monday, February 10, 2025 at 5pm.
