Georgia State Superintendent Richard Woods Donates Books

Superintendent Richard Woods visited our district to tour schools. He distributed 1000 books to CCSS, to be given to students. His goal as State School Superintendent is to make sure students are ready to learn, ready to live, and ready to lead. He is focused on strengthening communications, fostering meaningful collaboration, and supporting child-focused, classroom-centered policies. The purpose of his visit was to hear from students, educators, and other stakeholders in the district, to learn what is working, what changes can be made, and how the Georgia Department of Education can be of service.
